Dam: Potting Shed MM Austin Rose*M
Sire: Mossy Rock MM Equinox
Sire: Mossy Rock MM Equinox
Anyone who knows me knows how heartbroken I was to lose my #1 doe Kismet in 2019, so to have the chance to get a granddaughter of hers...Well, welcome Tanglewood Farms Solstice!!! I jumped at the chance to grab this doeling. Very very round and fuzzy at the moment, but packing some very exciting genetics!
Solstice's dam is Potting Shed MM Austin Rose. Austin is out of Potting Shed FG Maxie, who was the 2017 East National Champion and classified EX90. Maxie is a powerhouse doe and a huge milk producer. Austin's sire is Dragonfly AV Magic Mike, which makes her a full sister to Asher's dam Potting Shed MM Ashley, the little doe who milked over a gallon a day as a 4th freshener! Austin earned her milk star in 2020.
Solstice's sire is Mossy Rock MM Equinox "Knox", a buck born and bred right here at home. He is out of Potting Shed AYJ Kismet, my 1 in a million doe. Kismet only had one freshening, but she completely blew me away in all regards. Her mammary was stunning, she was a prolific milker and was put together beautifully. Losing her in the Spring of 2019 was heartwrenching, and she only had bucks. Knox's sire is Odds Are D Mighty Midas, a buck well known for throwing gorgeous dairy kids, putting nice long teats on his daughters and amazing buttery soft udder texture as well as good production.
I'm hoping these genes all line up right for this little doeling, but in any case she is a treasured girl here, I'm so beyond happy to have a little piece of Kismet back home! Solstice is incredibly friendly as an added bonus.
Thank you so much to Kyla at Tanglewood Nigerians for letting me have her!
