I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this boy's sale ad. I'm absolutely thrilled to be the one who scooped him up!
His dam GCH Noall's Ark Caprice des Dieux 6*M VEEE 91 is a stunning doe. As a second freshener in 2022, she produced 1640lbs in 305 days, with a high test day of 7.5lbs, which landed her the #3 spot for production on the 2022 ADGA Top Ten List!! She's an Elite doe in the 99th percentile, has been from 2020-2024, and a permanent Champion. Her owners say about her "Teats are well placed, are long and express easily. Udder is capacious and soft--the kind of udder you only dream about, milking down to nothing". Caprice's whole mammary is stunning, including a beautifully extended fore udder, which is something I'm trying hard to work on here. Both of her parents are SGCHs!
Sun Ra's sire is Redstone SF Sunseeker, who's a full brother to a doe I have long admired - SG Redstone SF Dark Star 4*M AR VEEE 92 (ADGA Elite doe from 2016 every year until her death in 2022). She is a truly admirable dairy doe, and has a long legacy of progeny hard at work in performance herds proving out the line. Dark Star consistently produced over 1000lbs per year, with extended lactations of up to 1785lbs in 477 days. She is another doe with a gorgeous fore udder!
Sunseeker has been chosen by ADGA for their Young Sire Development Program, and both his parents are Superior Genetics animals.
I expect Sun Ra to improve capacity, teat size and placement and foreudder among many other things!!
