Sales policy
Though we do take a waiting list, we don't operate purely on a first come first serve basis with selling kids, rather preferring to match kids with what we judge to be the most suitable homes. I like to hear details when contacted and to develop a relationship with the potential buyer. Preference will always be given (except in the case of wethers/pets) to homes that plan to classify, show, milk test, disease test, or at the very least milk their does and try to bring them to their full potential - and hopefully keep us updated (with photos!) as the kids mature. We want to see what we are producing here!
We reserve the right to retain any kid born here, regardless of reservations, and to refuse the sale of any animal at any point in the transaction should we feel the need to.
NEW FOR 2024! We will now be taking a $200 deposit to go on the waitlists for kids from all mature does. This deposit will come off the final price of the kid. If we are not able to fill your reservation, the deposit can be moved to a different pairing, rolled over to the next year or refunded. We won't be taking deposits or a waitlist for kids out of our first fresheners. If you are interested in a kid from a first freshener, please keep an eye on our website/Facebook page and send an inquiry just before kids are born, or once they hit the ground. Once the kids are born and we have an agreement with the buyer, a 50% deposit will be taken to hold until pick up. Animals must be paid for in full 24 hours BEFORE leaving the property.
Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. We will do our best to assist in the process, knowing that we are located very rurally. Meet ups may often be arranged, and a fee will be charged depending on the meet location. Our most common meeting spot is Revelstoke, and with the current gas prices the cost for this trip - which takes us most of the day - is $200 (which can be split between people if a few kids are going at once). We are able to offer shipping via air out of Kelowna BC IF we have enough kids flying out at once. It's a very long trip to get there and costs would need to be covered by the buyer(s).
Price includes registration in the buyers name and tattooing (except for wethers), disbudding, age appropriate deworming and coccidiosis prevention, and a hoof trim before they leave. We will no longer be vaccinating kids prior to leaving (the dams will be vaccinated before kidding).
It is our preference to sell kids on the bottle, usually at around 3-6 weeks of age, though earlier or later is workable. If bottle feeding isn't something you are able or willing to do, please let us know when you first contact us. Preference will be given to homes that will take kids on the bottle. I understand that our location makes arranging transport a challenge sometimes, so can be flexible with timing, to a point. If no transport date is agreed upon in a timely fashion, the deposit will be forfeit and we will move on to the next buyer.
We will do our best with disbudding but cannot guarantee there will not be scurs, particularly in bucks. We do not guarantee the height of any animals we sell.
We guarantee the health of animals leaving the farm, but cannot offer further health guarantees as we cannot control the stress of shipping or the care provided in their new homes.
