This is one of our retained doeling from Caprice and Poet. Calliope seems to a wonderful blend of her parents conformationally - just what we were hoping for with this cross .
She freshened as a yearling in 2020 with a single. Lots of potential here and I'm looking forward to seeing some more freshenings on her. She has a tightly attached udder with superb texture and is easy to milk despite somewhat smaller teats. She is producing a very decent amount of milk for a FF with a single, giving 1.81lbs on a 12 hr hold at 4 weeks fresh. Calla has come into her own in her second freshening, producing huge amounts of milk for her triplets. She gave 6.62lbs of milk during our 2021 CGS One Day Milk Test, very easily earning her milk star (she scored over twice the points needed for her star!).
